Job summary

Qualifications

• 6+ years in leadership and instruction in a formal training environment with or without a degree/certificate in Education or Instructional Development
• 4+ years as Navy NEC 805A Instructor or equivalent
• Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS) certification or equivalent
• 6+ years experience in course curriculum management
• 5+ years experience in oral communication principles and techniques
• Fluent in English; Spanish/French preferred
• 5+ years of military leadership and training for international audiences
• Experience teaching live fire and range instruction
• Able to maintain Level 1 Fitness Standard and operate vessels used in courses`,`Able to work non-standard schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, instructional support, and training analysis for operational and logistical requirements to support SBTC
• Assist with the management of assigned courses
• Assist with training analysis and instructional support and curriculum/test development
• Coordinate communication with Government Representative, TO and LSO, boat drivers, engineers, technicians, vendors and manufacturers
• Coordinate schedules between Operational, Communications and Maintenance courses for Field Training Exercises
• Assist in revising and implementing long-range curriculum plans to incorporate new procedures and tech developments
• Provide instruction on range safety and be designated to conduct duties as ROIC and RSO
• Assist with planning inputs to Learning Standards Office and CCMM
• Coordinate training program with all personnel and maintain Instructor-Training Records
• Assist and support instructor certification and evaluation programs
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled contractor instructor evaluations
• Collect and analyze student critiques and exam feedback for quality indicators
• Ensure exam security and testing
• Assist with Academic Review Boards and curriculum evaluations
• Maintain CANTRAC and eTARS databases
• Provide technical instruction on watercraft and associated systems according to naval instructions
