Description

The Utility Courier picks up and delivers customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules and resolves problems as they arise. The job covers other absent couriers on any work shift.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules.
• Scan packages/mail as received, delivered, or returned to the depot at day's end.
• Resolve problems on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR).
• Advise the unit manager when inspections fail.

Additional Responsibilities

Education

Completion of High School.

Experience

Completion of vocational and business courses taught at high school level.

Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract to operate delivery vehicles.
