Job Duties

1. Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages efficiently and courteously.
2. Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
3. Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Perform related customer service functions.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma/G.E.D.
Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license as per state requirements for the vehicle type assigned and have a good driving record in accordance with company policy.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and courier methods.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations.
Specific requirements for employees operating a company vehicle are detailed in policy 4-48.

Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
Ability to work alertly and safely at all times.
