Job Duties

1. Operate company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages.
2. Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
3. Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Perform related customer service functions.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma/G.E.D. required. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license per state requirements for the vehicle type assigned and have a good driving record.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• Ability to demonstrate area knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet qualifications outlined in Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations. Specific requirements for operating a company vehicle are detailed in policy 4-48. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safety awareness.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional details include shift timings (Mon-Sat, 6:00 am - 6:30 pm, off day TBD, various shifts).
