Job Description

Purpose of Position: Provide high level of customer/client service. Delivers reports, transports specimens, supplies and correspondence to and from clients' offices. Transports biohazardous waste.

Major Functions/Tasks:

1. Client/customer service
2. Deliver lab reports and other correspondence
3. Transport lab specimens
4. Transport hazardous waste
5. Deliver supplies
6. Run errands
7. Make bank and postal runs
8. Deliver mail to entities within the corporation

Description:

1. Organize and deliver lab reports, correspondence and supplies to CICSS clients and within CCHC Laboratories.
2. Transport laboratory specimens from client offices, satellites of CICSS and the hospitals to appropriate destinations.
3. Acts as customer relations person on behalf of CICSS in the clients' offices, relaying concerns from the clients to appropriate supervisory personnel.
4. Drivers must be courteous at all times when driving as an agent of CICSS.
5. Transport hazardous waste from client offices and CICSS sites to the point of pick up at CCHC Laboratories for transfer to incineration site.
6. Run business errands as necessary, hardware store, office supply store, bank deposits, postal runs, etc.
7. Other related duties as directed by management.
8. Works in tandem as a member of the CICSS team to deliver excellent services.

Qualifications:

1. Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
2. Valid U.S. Driver’s License upon hire.
3. Must obtain Massachusetts specific Driver’s License within 60 days of hire.
4. Acceptable driving record in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) criteria will be obtained as a precondition to begin employment.
5. Successfully complete CLAB’S Driver Safety Training Program at least once every two years.

Note: Routes which currently require personal vehicles may in the future be accommodated with company vehicles.
