Job Description

Courier responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Documenting, packaging, and transporting samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans/protocols.
2. Maintaining quality control of all assignments and completing documents in a timely manner.
3. Following and enforcing company health and safety policies.
4. Following technical instructions and guidance.
5. Long distance driving and night driving, as needed:
   • Routes may include driving into New York City, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh.
   • Routes will be a maximum of 250 miles from Lancaster, PA.
6. Additional duties as assigned.

The position is part-time, on an as-needed basis. Hours will vary throughout the week, with an estimated 15-20 hours/week on average, but hours may fluctuate week to week. Hours could be during the day, evening, or occasionally on weekends.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. A valid state-issued driver’s license to drive delivery vehicles is required.
3. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
4. Must be able to use a Smartphone.
5. Willing and able to drive long distances (4+ hours).
6. Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

The ideal candidate would possess:

1. Ability to follow GPS directions.
2. Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
4. Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

Additional Information

Proficiency in English is required, including reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Salary range: $17.75
