Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Courier (Non-DOT) for rural/residential routes. You will deliver packages with company vehicles and provide related customer service, while maintaining safety and alertness. You must be at least 21, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with customers and traffic officials.

This casual, on-site position pays between $24.21 and $35.96 per hour. You must work at least one shift every 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight with assistance or equipment.
• Able to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials and customers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this position. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned. Neat appearance since customer contact may be required. Drivers vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
