Job summary

FedEx Midland is seeking a driver/operator of company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages, ensuring courteous service and accurate handling of shipments. The role includes checking conformance to FedEx service standards and performing related customer service tasks.

Qualified candidates should be able to drive non-DOT vehicles, be at least 21, and read/speak English well enough to understand traffic signs and communicate with authorities. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Drives vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
