Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a driver/operator of company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages with courteous, efficient service. You will check shipments for conformance to FedEx standards and provide related customer service support, driving non-regulated vehicles in accordance with FMCSA rules.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic signs, safety communications, and inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages with courteous, efficient service.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and assist customers as needed.
• Operate vehicles not regulated by FMCSA 391 and perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to lift 50 Lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and communication skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
