Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a part-time driver/operator to pick up and deliver packages in the Wichita Falls area. You will drive company vehicles, ensure shipments meet FedEx service standards, and provide courteous customer service.

Requires High School Diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, age 21+, valid driver’s license, and fluency in English for reading traffic signs and communication with officials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver heavy packages with assistance/equipment.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to read/speak English for traffic signs and communications.
• Must be licensed for the vehicle type assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages using company vehicles, maintaining courteous customer service.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and complete related paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Driver/operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Drives vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
