Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in West Chester, PA seeks a part-time Driver/Operator to deliver and pick up packages with courteous service. You will drive company vehicles, check shipments for FedEx service standards, and provide related customer support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Driver/operator of company vehicles delivering and picking up packages.
• Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service features and assists customers as needed.
• Provides related customer service functions during deliveries and pickups.
• Drives vehicles not regulated by FMCSA 391 and performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
