Job Overview

The Courier Driver (Floater) supports SPS Global’s logistics and distribution operations by coordinating and executing parcel, mail, and freight deliveries across designated locations. This role ensures safe, timely delivery and efficient material handling while supporting shipping and receiving operations.

In addition to courier duties, this position assists with dock operations and freight coordination to maintain smooth logistics workflows and high service standards.

Reports To:
Client Services Supervisor, Client Services Manager, or equivalent leadership

What You’ll Do
Courier & Delivery Operations

Navigate predefined delivery routes via company vehicle to deliver mail and parcels safely and efficiently

Ensure timely pickup and delivery of packages across designated locations

Maintain accurate logs and time stamps for all deliveries and pickups

Support chain-of-custody procedures and documentation requirements

Assist with loading and unloading freight in accordance with safety and operational procedures

Support the organization and management of shipping and receiving areas

Coordinate proper distribution and handling of freight shipments

Maintain organized dock operations to support efficient workflow

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure operational readiness

Maintain delivery vehicles according to company maintenance standards

Follow all safety regulations and company policies when operating vehicles

Customer Service & Operational Support

Deliver exceptional customer service to both clients and SPS employees

Maintain a professional appearance and positive service attitude

Proactively assist other operational areas when needed

Seek additional work during downtime to support team productivity

What We’re Looking For
Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to work assigned hours as determined by manager

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities

Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation

Preferred

2+ years of experience in courier services, freight handling, or logistics roles

Experience supporting dock or warehouse operations

Familiarity with delivery tracking systems and logistics tools

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Customer service excellence and professionalism

Organizational and time-management skills

Ability to multitask and adapt to changing operational demands

Attention to detail and operational accuracy

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and maneuver freight up to 60 lbs.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and sit for extended periods

Physical capability to load and unload materials safely

Travel:
Local travel is a fundamental part of this role
