Express Courier Services is a dynamic and client-focused medical courier company based in California. We specialize in the timely and secure transportation of medical specimens, supplies, and prescriptions serving a wide range of pharmacies and healthcare providers across California.

Core Responsibilities

• Delivery and Handling: Drive vehicles on assigned routes or as needed to pick-up, deliver, and store specimens and other medical materials.
• Client Interaction: Maintain a positive image and communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and the public.
• Quality Assurance: Perform route audits and ensure the accuracy and safety of sample handling.
• Route Management: Gain knowledge of multiple routes to provide backup for other drivers.
• Documentation: Accurately maintain records and documentation for all deliveries and collections.
• Punctuality: Report to work on time and adhere to attendance guidelines.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the vehicle area clean, manage biohazard disposal, and perform basic service checks (e.g., fluid levels, fuel replenishment).
• Professionalism: Adhere to our grooming and uniform policies.
• Support Duties: Assist with specimen accessioning and other tasks as directed by the Logistics Manager or Supervisor.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of driving experience; medical courier and customer service experience preferred.
• Skills: Proficient in map reading, English language (reading and writing).
• License: Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Physical Ability: Consistent ability to sit during shifts (excluding breaks), move and lift 50 pounds, and handle heavier packages with assistance or equipment.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel; computer proficiency preferred.
• Safety Compliance: Ability to work in biohazard environments and adhere to safety policies.
