Job summary

FedEx is seeking a PT Driver/Operator for a 6:00 AM–12:00 PM shift, Tuesday through Saturday in the Miami area. The role entails courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages, checking shipments, and handling related customer service tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid vehicle license for the assigned vehicle, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must meet FMCSA safety regulations; medical exam required.
• Good verbal communication and neat appearance due to customer contact.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to read/speak English adequately.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages using company vehicles.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and provide related customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

TUESDAY-SATURDAY

AM PART-TIME

APPROXIMATE SHIFT TIME: 0600-1200

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
