Job summary

FedEx is seeking a driver/operator of company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages with courteous, efficient service. You will check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and perform related customer service functions.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid license for vehicle type, and meet FMCSA safety requirements. Must be 21+ and able to read and speak English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with equipment/assistance.
• Good verbal communication and neat appearance required for customer contact.
• Must meet FMCSA safety regulations and pass medical exam as applicable.
• Must be at least 21 years old and read/speak English sufficiently.

Minimum Education

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
