Job summary

FedEx is seeking a part-time Driver/Operator to handle delivery and pickup of packages, ensuring courteous and efficient service. The role requires proper licensing for the vehicle type and adherence to FMCSA safety regulations.

You will interact with customers and perform related service tasks in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a part-time schedule (Tuesday–Saturday, evening shift) with a focus on safety, accuracy, and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; must be licensed for vehicle type.
• Must meet FMCSA safety regulations; medical exam required.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Able to read/speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and directions as per FMCSA guidance.

Responsibilities

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
