Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a driver/operator for company vehicles in Gulfport, MS. You will deliver and pick up packages, maintain courteous service, and ensure shipments comply with FedEx standards while addressing customer needs.

Schedule includes Monday through Saturday with a day off during the week. Qualifications include a high school diploma/GED and a valid vehicle license; ability to lift up to 50 lbs, read and speak English well, and meet FMCSA medical and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Must meet FMCSA section 391 qualifications and pass medical exam per FMCSA/FAA regulations.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic signs, safety officials, and inquiries.

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
