Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Driver/Operator to perform delivery and pickup of packages using company vehicles. The role emphasizes courteous customer service and adherence to FedEx service standards.

Responsibilities include loading, unloading, and handling shipments while following safety procedures. Shifts vary; typical hours are mornings or afternoons, Monday through Saturday with day off TBD.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; valid license for vehicle type assigned.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle heavier loads with assistance.
• Good communication and neat appearance due to customer contact.
• Must meet FMCSA 391 qualifications and pass medical exam.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to read/speak English clearly.

• Deliver and pick up packages using FedEx vehicles.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Monday - Saturday Day off TBD. Shift TBD(AM 0630 - 1630 PM 1400 -1030)

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
