Job summary

FedEx in Yamato, FL is seeking a driver/operator for company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up services. You will ensure shipments meet FedEx service standards and perform related customer service tasks.

This role runs Mon-Fri from 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM and requires a high school diploma or GED, with a valid license for the vehicle type. A medical exam is required to comply with FMCSA regulations and safety training will be provided.

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
