Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Driver / operator of company vehicles in Dodge City, KS to deliver and pick up packages with courteous, efficient service. You will verify shipments, adhere to FedEx service standards, and provide related customer support.

Position runs Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 19:00, depending on operational needs. Must meet FMCSA requirements, be at least 21, and hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver heavy packages with equipment or assistance.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Must meet FMCSA medical exam requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Able to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic signs and official directions.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 21 years of age, consistently lift 50 pounds, High School / GED Diploma, Valid Driver’s License consistently for the past two years. Must successfully complete a Federal Drug screen and background check.
