Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is hiring a Driver / operator of company vehicles in New York. You will deliver and pick up packages, provide courteous customer service, and verify shipments meet FedEx service standards.

Expect a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and physical work requiring lifting and handling packages. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid vehicle license appropriate to the assigned vehicle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be licensed for vehicle type assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment/assist.
• Good customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Must be 21+ and able to read/speak English for traffic directions.

7AM - 5PM

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
