Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a delivery driver to operate company vehicles in Illinois. You will deliver and pick up packages, check shipments for FedEx service conformance, and support customer service requirements throughout the day.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid vehicle license for the assigned vehicle type, and the ability to lift heavy packages with appropriate equipment. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and move packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Must meet FMCSA safety regulations and undergo medical exam.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to read/speak English sufficiently.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
