FedEx Logistics is seeking a driver/operator to deliver and pick up packages in a full-time role. You will ensure shipments meet FedEx service standards and provide customer service as needed.
Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED; must be licensed for the vehicle type. A medical exam is required per FMCSA/FAA regulations. This position is based on a full-time schedule with a split shift and possible peak-day work.
Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
This is a Mon- Fri FT split shift position.
Approximate shift hours are:
0800 AM - 1200 PM and 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Position may be assigned to AM and PM sort positions.
Additional workdays may be required on peak volume days.
High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
