Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a driver/operator to deliver and pick up packages using company vehicles. This role requires courteous, efficient service and adherence to FedEx service standards.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid license for the assigned vehicle, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Training and safety standards apply; position includes Monday–Friday split shifts.

Job description

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

These are Monday through Friday split shift positions.

Approximate Shift Hours Are Mon-Fri

0830 AM -1230 PM and 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

May include AM and PM sort functions.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
