Job summary

UPS is seeking a full-time driver in the Newark, DE area to support a 2-person team in picking up and delivering packages from local customer locations. The role requires adherence to safety procedures, knowledge of airbills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 2:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with coverage duties as needed. A strong emphasis is placed on background checks, drug screening, and entry badge requirements.

Qualifications

• Verifiable / Proof of high school diploma, GED or higher education
• 7 years of verifiable employment
• 3-year clean driving record
• Pass a credit check, 10 background checks and criminal history checks
• Must complete TSA testing
• At least 21 years old
• Valid class D driver�s license (CDL not required)
• Must maintain a clean driving history
• Must meet MNX Driver Safety Standards
• Must lift in excess of 70 lbs
• Must pass UPS test and badge for Oak airport
• Must communicate in English and provide general direction to others

Requirements

• Applicants must be able to pass a credit check, 10 documented background check and criminal history check.
• Applicants must complete TSA testing.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Applicants must possess a valid class \"D\" driver's license (a CDL is NOT required).
• Applicants must have and maintain a clean and verifiable driving history,
• Applicants must be able to maintain MNX’s Driver Safety Standards.
• Applicants must be able to lift in excess of 70lbs.
• Applicants must be able to pass a UPS test and get badged to enter the OAK airport.
• Position requires the ability to communicate (write and speak) in English and the ability to provide general direction to others.

This position is Full-Time: 40 hours per week, Monday - Thursday from 2:30 AM - 12:00 PM. The position is 4 days, 10 hours. You will also be expected to cover when the other drivers are on vacation or leave sick.
