Job summary

Caldwell Medical Center is seeking a reliable Courier for Caldwell Medical Associates. This role delivers confidential documents, specimens, lab supplies, and reports between hospital departments and affiliated clinics, following an established 9:30 AM–6:00 PM schedule with a 30‑minute lunch.

Responsibilities include loading supplies, handling specimens safely, using paging systems for coordination, and maintaining a prompt, professional service.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record required; 3–5 years driving experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate a company vehicle safely.

Responsibilities

• Make prompt delivery and pick-up of confidential hospital documents and lab specimens.
• Load daily supplies and complete pickup schedules.
• Deliver all daily items to clinics at end of shift and follow established routes.
• Safely handle specimens and lab samples; comply with traffic laws and safety policies.
• Communicate with managers and staff to coordinate additional pickups as needed.

Courier will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients. Operating hours for this position will be 9:30-6 with a 30-minute lunch.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Make prompt delivery and pick-up of confidential hospital documents and legal records for hospital documents by adhering to an established schedule in a timely and efficient manner in order to assist the hospital and its affiliates in expediting hospital business.Load all necessary suppliers needed for the daily pickupsComplete daily pick-up schedule in a timely mannerDeliver all daily picks to clinics at the end of your shiftHandle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient mannerSafely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic lawsUtilize electronic devices to manage daily picks upWork directly with manager for additional pick-ups as neededEvaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as neededPerforms other duties as assigned.ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSTemperature changes: variations in temperature from hot to cold.
