Job summary

Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc. in Hicksville, NY is hiring a courier to support our clinical laboratory operations.

This full-time role involves transporting reports, specimens, and supplies between laboratories and healthcare facilities, with a focus on safety and reliability. The position offers hourly pay of $17.00-$19.00, standard 40-hour weeks with some evenings and weekend shifts, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license and an excellent driving record for the past three years.
• Confidence operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions and navigating routine hazards of the road.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under time constraints, without close supervision.
• Physical capability of light to medium lifting (up to 50lbs).

Responsibilities

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure that reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens are successfully transported between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, transport, and safe operation of a motor vehicle - rain or shine!
• Interact with a variety of clients and commit to customer-focused service.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.

LOCATION/HOURS:

250 Miller Place, Hicksville, NY 11801 3:00pm - 11:00pm; Saturday and Sunday

250 Miller Place, Hicksville, NY 11801 Shift Varies; Tuesday to Saturday

FULL TIME/PART TIME: 40hrs and 16hrs

HOURLY RATE: $17.00-$19.00/hr
