Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks a married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living on campus and caring for 8-13 students. You will supervise daily life, manage routines, and support student wellness in a structured, family-like setting.

Two-person teams must be legally married for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27+, and a valid U.S. driver's license. The role includes on-campus housing, meals while on duty, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
