Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care and supervision for 8–13 students, and support their academic, emotional, and social development.

Roles start with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with opportunities to transition to a placed houseparent. Benefits include comprehensive health plans and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Two-person couple role with marriage duration of at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; alcohol not permitted while on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
