Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person team) to live in on-campus student homes and supervise 8–13 students. Couples work rotating schedules and may transition to a placed houseparent role after training.

Responsibilities include supervising students, coordinating routines, escorting to activities, leading devotions, and budgeting. Benefits include housing, meals, insurance, and training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and oversee student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
