Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus homes with 8–13 students, providing supervision, mentorship, and care to foster academic and personal growth.

Initially nine days on, three off, with a path to a placed houseparent role. Benefits include housing, meals, health insurance, and paid training. Two-person, committed couples are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person, legally married couple required for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limits: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning development/recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
