Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will reside in on-campus student homes, supervise a group of 8-13 students, and foster a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social development.

The role starts with nine days on duty followed by three days off, with a path to a placed houseparent position living with the same students.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
