Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living on campus and caring for a group of 8-13 students. The role blends supervision, mentorship and activity planning, with duties including daily devotions, scheduling, and transporting students.

Initially, couples work nine days on, three off, then transition to a placed houseparent. Compensation starts at $46,917 per person annually, with total couple compensation around $180,000 plus

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role; couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Committing to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds only.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsabilités

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning/engaging in developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
