Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will reside in on-campus student homes, supervising 8–13 students and providing guidance to support academic, emotional, and social development.

Couples work a nine-on / three-off schedule, with transition to a placed houseparent role after establishing the group. Benefits include housing, meals, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year marriage (for the couple) and good standing.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
