Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students.

The role emphasizes a family-like environment fostering academic, emotional, and social development. Initial shifts cover nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with transition to a Placed Houseparent role over time.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• For couples, both spouses must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation.
