Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will reside in on-campus student homes, caring for a group of 8–13 students and guiding their academic, emotional, and social development.

The role begins with nine days on duty followed by three off, with transition to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Comprehensive benefits accompany the salary.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse couple role for married couples.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities with students.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
