Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus. Couples reside in on-site student homes, supervising and supporting 8-13 students to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role includes daily supervision, routine management, medication administration, guiding activities and devotions, and coordinating transportation. After initial placement, couples transition to a stable home for the same group of students.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
