Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8-13 students, helping them grow academically, emotionally, and socially.

The role begins with nine days on duty, three days off, with progression to a placed houseparent living with the same group. Salary per person is $46,917 per year plus comprehensive benefits, housing, meals, and more.

Qualifications

• Two-person married couple for at least two years is required.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
