Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8-13 students living in the home.

Flex Houseparents start in multiple homes with a nine-on, three-off schedule, then transition to a placed home with a consistent group of students. Salary is $46,917 per person annually, with free housing, meals on duty, utilities, and more.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be at least 27 years old.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/ recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
