Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples live with 8–13 students, supervise daily life, lead activities, and ensure wellness and safety.

The role evolves into a placed home with a fixed student group, emphasizing mentorship, discipline, and community values. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, two years married, age 27+, and a valid driver’s license with van-certification ability.

Qualifications

• Two-spouse role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid US driver’s license and van-driving certification ability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience working with youth or volunteers in youth settings is preferred.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for a group of 8–13 students.
• Manage household routines, student schedules, and budgeting/reporting.
• Administer medications and oversee student wellness and safety.
• Drive students to activities; plan and engage in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Support multiple homes initially, then transition to a placed home with a consistent group.
• Uphold campus policies, safety guidelines, and professional role modeling.
