Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking dedicated full-time Flex Houseparents for married couples. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students, fostering a structured, family-like environment that advances academic, emotional, and social development.

Initially, couples work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse couple required, married for at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and support student wellness.
• Lead activities, devotions, and Sunday Chapel participation.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
