Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, and supervision for a group of approximately 8–13 students, helping them grow academically, emotionally, and socially.

Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a placed houseparent living and working with the same student group. Compensation includes housing, meals, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pets allowed limited to fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor wellness.
• Drive and plan activities with students; engage in devotions and chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
