Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision for a group of 8–13 students, creating a structured, family-like environment supporting academic, emotional, and social development.

The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and transitions to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year married couple required.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
