Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes, caring for 8-13 students. Couples live on campus, provide supervision, guidance, and support, and participate in daily activities, devotions, and Chapel services.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, meals, and safety, while building a structured, family-like environment. This role starts with nine days on duty, followed by three off, with potential placement in a

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Fish and one dog allowed; pet limitations.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel participation.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreation.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
