Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college level coursework including 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• Bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 12 credits in the listed social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training with 12 credits and one year of paraprofessional case management.
• Applicants may be considered eligible if they are within two months of graduation with a qualifying degree/credits.

Responsibilities

• Attend agency training sessions to build knowledge of casework practices
• Provide basic assistance to help families improve daily functioning
• Work under close supervision while developing decision making skills
• Maintain and review required reports and records as part of learning
• Take part in individual and group conferences with supervisors

Education

Two years of college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology or related social sciences; 12 credits

Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or related social sciences
