The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania invites applications for a County Caseworker 2 in Washington County. You will deliver social and case management services to families, guiding them through available resources to improve wellbeing and outcomes for children and youth.

Work with a team of professionals, manage information gathering and counseling, and coordinate supports while completing required training. This is a full‑time, non-telework position in the Washington County Child Welfare division.

Qualifications

Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; or
Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or
A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or
A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Work Schedule and Additional Information

Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position includes working evening and weekend hours, as well as performing on-call duties.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Legal Requirements

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
