Job summary

VT Industries, Inc. is seeking a production worker to load and unload materials, move items between lines and storage, and prepare products for processing.

You will inspect countertops for quality, mark parts, tie bundles, and assist with packing, storage and cleanup in a fast-paced plant environment. Training will be provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors and conveyances.
• Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Remove products or waste materials from conveyors.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually.
• Inspect countertops by checking for delam, cracking, bumps, blisters, mislay, and loose build down.
• Inform line coordinator of hot tops/reruns and bad tops.
• Lift, carry and move countertops.
• Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plant and warehouses, by hand or powered lift trucks.
• Pack and store laminate countertops.
• Mark or tag identification on parts.
• Tie products in bundles for further processing or shipment, following procedures.
• Clean work areas.
• Break up defective products for reprocessing.
