Job summary

CKF Omaha is seeking a Countertop Installation Technician to install and service countertops in existing homes, new construction and commercial sites in the Omaha area.

The role requires safe operation of tools, the ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch, a valid driver's license, and a strong focus on customer service and teamwork. Travel to job sites and coordination with other teams will be needed.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of the safe operation of all related tools and equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Service work experience.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16 of an inch with accuracy and precision.
• Prior countertop installation or service experience.

Responsibilities

• Install or repair countertops in existing homes, new home construction, and commercial work sites.
• Coordinate with other teams, outside vendors and contractors to meet installation schedules and goals.
• Ensure end product exceeds customer expectations, including post-installation clean-up.
• Operate all necessary tools to complete a job.
• Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned, stored, and maintained for safety.
• Occasionally perform on-site adjustments, including sink cut-outs, edge trims and surface finishing.

Qualifications

The Countertop Installation Technician position is responsible for performing installation and service of new countertops on existing home and construction sites.

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Will work mainly in customer homes, new construction sites and commercial work sites with multiple floors. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job construction sites, which can include high noise levels, fumes from paint or stain, and unfinished walking areas.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. This position requires the ability to drive as required for the position, the ability to pass DOT medical/physical exam as required for position, and the ability to safely lift over 100lbs.

Required Education and Experience

• Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Service work Experience
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to use and read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch with accuracy and precision
• Prior countertop installation or service experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• Carpentry skills
• Stone countertop finishing experience
