Job summary

Genuine Parts Company, operating under the NAPA banner in Oklahoma City, seeks an Automotive Parts Specialist. You’ll assist fleet customers by sourcing parts, share parts knowledge with teammates, and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have experience in automotive parts or a strong willingness to learn. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent are required, with opportunities for growth within theorganization.

As a NAPA Automotive Parts Specialist, you don’t have to be able to tear a motor down and rebuild it (however, if you can, that’s awesome), however it is preferred to have a background and knowledge of automotive parts. What you will be doing:

• Provide and source parts for specialized equipment for our fleet customers
• Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members and answer questions for customers
• Provide outstanding customer service and interact with management and technicians
• Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced environment
• Ask appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and sourced
• Inform customers on parts availability
• Genuinely enjoy helping our fleet customers with their parts and service needs
• Have gained your parts experience by working in the automotive industry or have gained experience tinkering with/repairing cars & trucks
• Want to gain or grow your parts experience by working on a team with other NAPA parts professionals
• Want to join a team where you can learn and grow your career – the opportunities are endless!

What you’ll need:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or at least a willingness to learn all things auto parts
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical or Trade school courses or degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great listening skills and empathy for customer
• Ability to work on or around an airport environment in a shop environment
• Background and/or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership Experience in airport ground support equipment
• Knowledge of cataloging, sourcing, AND/OR inventory management systems, a plus
• Entirely customer-centric (external/internal) ASE Certifications
