Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to help customers and fleet clients find and source the right auto parts. You will share parts knowledge with teammates, answer questions, and help technicians locate the exact items they need.

The role emphasizes proactive customer service in a fast-paced, airport-adjacent shop environment. Candidates should have a background in automotive parts, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn all things auto parts.

As a NAPA Automotive Parts Specialist, you do not need to tear a motor down and rebuild it (although that's awesome if you can). It is preferred to have a background and knowledge of automotive parts. This role is great whether you want to build a career with us as a Parts Specialist, work day or night, or get your foot in the door to explore other careers at some point.

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide and source parts for specialized equipment for our fleet customers
• Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members and answer questions for customers
• Provide outstanding customer service and interact with management and technicians
• Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced environment
• Ask appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and sourced
• Inform customers on parts availability

What You’ll Need

• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn all things auto parts
• High School Diploma or GED, or technical or trade school courses or degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great listening skills and empathy for customer
• Ability to work on or around an airport environment in a shop environment

And if you have this, even better (not a deal breaker if you don’t)

• Background and/or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
• Experience in airport ground support equipment
• Knowledge of cataloging, sourcing, and/or inventory management systems
• Entirely customer‑centric (external/internal)
• ASE certification
